you'd imagine a wonderful life. a beautiful morning. and a terrific future set ahead. you'd love to envy such intelligence. sing praises amidst a nagging grudge. boisterous laughter.. sweet smelling scents and the perfect smile. an ideal family and a house to boot. polished and lavished decorations.
what you not see.. the passing of each other by and by without notice.
what you not hear.. the silent screams inside minds at each other.
what you think you feel.. there is nothing to feel.
perhaps you can look me in the eye and tell me everything's gonna be alright. you slap me across asking me to wake up. worse than puppet on strings for these are snapped and thrown behind the closet. dust scorn and lizards flee. no way to run.. no strength too. i scream out your name and ask you to come. come comfort me and treat me with placebo. but i don't even know where you are. i want out. not just out out.. but out.
Superman stands alone. Superman did not become Superman, Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he is Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red S is the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears, the glasses the business suit, that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent? He's weak, unsure of himself... he's a coward. Clark Kent is Superman's critique on the whole human race, sort of like Beatrix Kiddo and Mrs. Tommy Plumpton.
